Standards checklists are a great way to track students who have mastered each standard. This download includes Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies. Show off your organizational skills during parent conferences, data chats, and observations.
**THE BEST PART**
You only need to type your student names ONCE! Your class list will auto-populate on the rest of the pages.
Open file in the free version of Adobe. Type in one student name per box. You’ll see the names auto-populate on the rest of the document pages. This is such a TIME-SAVING feature that I just L.O.V.E. and I think you will, too! Save the document to your computer, print, and enjoy.
How to use:
Please feel free to do whatever works best for YOU and YOUR STUDENTS. This is what I’ve had success doing, so I wanted to share it with you. After giving exit slips and/or assessments for the standard, I use a pencil to quickly put a check, check plus, or check minus for each student. I highly recommend using a pencil so you can easily change it after the student (hopefully) improves. You could use a color coding system with colored pencils - like red check marks need intervention, green checks mean the standard has been mastered, and purple checks are for students working above grade level. I constantly refer to these checklists when I pull small groups, make extra practice packets, or have parent conferences. I also love how easy it is to see what standards I need to reteach to the whole class. I can also quickly see who should be in a small group and who needs extra practice with that particular standard.
