The best way to increase student achievement is through formative assessments and feedback. Most curriculums do not provide exit slips, check ins or assessments for you to monitor students' understanding.
This "packet" includes exit slips, check ins and an end of unit assessment for every 5th grade standard on multiplying and dividing whole numbers, order of operations and writing numeral expressions. It also has a data tracking sheet for you to organize where students are in their understanding and make targeted instruction groups. Or you can use as a summary at the end of the unit for reporting.
I wrote these and used with my entire 5th grade and our school won an award that year for most progress gained.
