Description

Problem Solving Math Response Sheets - Fifth Grade

This product includes math response sheets that cover all of the fifth grade math standards. They are versatile and can be used in centers, interactive notebooks, homework, classwork, bell ringers, exit tickets, etc.

There is a math response question for each of the standards. The sheets come in two versions: with a rubric and without a rubric to use at your own discretion. The sheets with the rubric include the standard number, and the sheets without a rubric do not include the standard (in case you don't use Common Core Standards).

I have also included directions to minimize these when printing so that they will fit perfectly into interactive notebooks.

Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots. For example, given different measurements of liquid in identical beakers, find the amount of liquid each beaker would contain if the total amount in all the beakers were redistributed equally.
Recognize volume as an attribute of solid figures and understand concepts of volume measurement.
Measure volumes by counting unit cubes, using cubic cm, cubic in, cubic ft, and improvised units.
Relate volume to the operations of multiplication and addition and solve real world and mathematical problems involving volume.
Recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left.
