Product Description
Thinking outside the box.
Activity in doubling numbers, trusting your gut, and simple humility.

Kids don't mean to be greedy, they really do not.
If you ask your students whether they would take \$250,000 or a penny doubled every day for a month, which would they choose? Yeah. My kids chose the cash 'in hand' too.
I love this mind-blowing math activity.

This "I want it now" mentality is the perfect backdrop to use when teaching kids doubling numbers.

In this activity, kids have to choose between winning \$250,000 cash and a penny doubled every day for 31 days. Most people will choose the \$250,000, even adults. Many people know that \$250k is a lot of money and they would rather have that in their hands today, rather than to wait to see what the outcome is after doubling a penny for 31 days. What a fun activity.

5th Grade Math: Year Round Activity
5th Grade Math: Christmas version included

This is an excellent lesson in delayed gratification.
Kids will explore the concept of doubling numbers.
