This SMART notebook resource emphasizes whole number and decimal place value by having students read statements and place digits in prescribed places. It progresses from easy ("Put a 4 in the hundreds place") to challenging ("The digit in the tenths place is half of the digit in the hundred-thousands place"). Your students can easily make their own build-a-number puzzles for classmates to solve with the blank template slides included. These puzzles are excellent for use throughout the school year.
As with all the items available on TPT by Madison's Math Shop, the activities in this file are kid-tested and developed with the goal of promoting math fluency and skill mastery in a fun format.
