Product Description
Looking for Problem Solving Task Cards that are STAAR Aligned and come with a TEKS and CCSS Blueprint? These task cards are great for review, practice, small group, and test practice!

Task cards are grouped into 2 sections: cards (1-10) and (11-20). Each set addresses the same standards so they can be used as 2 separate activities: a review and practice, or as one activity giving students more opportunity to demonstrate understanding of skills.

Simply print cards on card stock and cut out. Laminate for extra durability.
*For best results print using color ink. Some questions may not print accurately if printed in black and white.

What’s Included?
♥20 open-ended task cards that address Reporting Category 2 Decimal Operations and Models TEKS (5.3DEFGK) and Common Core Standards (5.NBT.B.7, 5.OA.A.2).

♥ A list of Readiness, Supporting, Processing and Common Core Standards.

♥ A Task Card Answer Key Blueprint which codes items by Readiness, Supporting, and Common Core Standards. This makes it simple to identify skills needing intervention. Great for RTI!

TEKS INCLUDED:
♦ 5.3(E) Solve for products of decimals to the hundredths, including situations involving money, using strategies based on place-value understandings, properties of operations, and the relationship to the multiplication of whole numbers.
♦ 5.3(G) Solve for quotients of decimals to the hundredths, up to four-digit dividends and two-digit whole number divisors, using strategies and algorithms, including the standard algorithm.
♦ 5.3(K) Add and subtract positive rational numbers fluently.

Supporting Standards
♦ 5.3(D) Represent multiplication of decimals with products to the hundredths using objects and pictorial models, including area models.
♦ 5.3(F) Represent quotients of decimals to the hundredths, up to four-digit dividends and two-digit whole number divisors, using objects and pictorial models, including area models.

Processing Standards
♦5.1(A) Apply mathematics to problems arising in everyday life, society, and the workplace.
♦5.1(B) Use a problem-solving model that incorporates analyzing given information, formulating a plan or strategy, determining a solution, justifying the solution, and evaluating the problem-solving process and the reasonableness of the solution.
♦5.1(C) Select tools, including real objects, manipulatives, paper and pencil, and technology as appropriate, and techniques, including mental math, estimation, and number sense as appropriate, to solve problems.
♦5.1(D) Communicate mathematical ideas, reasoning, and their implications using multiple representations, including symbols, diagrams, graphs, and language as appropriate.
♦5.1(E) Create and use representations to organize, record, and communicate mathematical ideas.
♦5.1(F) Analyze mathematical relationships to connect and communicate mathematical ideas.
♦5.1(G) Display, explain, and justify mathematical ideas and arguments using precise mathematical language in written or oral communication.

**************************************************************************

Common Core Standards:
♦ 5.NBT.B.7 Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals to hundredths, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used.
♦ 5.OA.A.2 Write simple expressions that record calculations with numbers, and interpret numerical expressions without evaluating them.
