This packet contains a full lesson for teaching why materials are different in regards to matter. Most of the packet is designed to take notes, but there are also passages to read to support the notes, and there are two research investigations for a hands on experience. The investigation(s) tests solubility and mixtures, as well as dissolving and concentration between liquids. Additionally, there is a quiz included for assessment purposes.
