This worksheet allows students to solve dividing fraction problems, without realizing that it is dividing fractions. It focuses on visualizing the problem, which will then lead students to understand grouping that will then help them understand dividing fractions. I do not mention dividing at all during this activity. Just "grouping" or "groups".
I have students use highlighters, crayons, or color pencils to show the different groups of fractions. Have students alternate between 3 or more colors so that it doesn't get confusing.
There are 9 models, with 2 questions each. And answer key. As well as class discussion questions that can be used once the worksheet is completed.
