I had the hardest time finding Real Life practice with temperature because we use Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. I have created this product to help students relate temperature to the value of number. Colder (lower) vs Warmer (higher).
Concrete Activity to help students visualize the concept of multiple temperatures by coloring in the thermometer A, B, C, D for each of the practice problems. Students then can then determine if the negative, zero, or positive temperatures are colder or warmer than the rest.
This product has warm-up, practice packet, and homework. Students must know about a vertical number line before introducing the concept of Colder vs. Warmer.
