STAAR Test Prep: This document includes 2 assessments over Integers and Rational Number Computations Standards TEKS 6.3ABCDE for 6th grade math. Assessments could be used as a Pre/Post Test, Unit Quizzes, Review, Tests, and STAAR Test Practice!
*This resource is also available in my STAAR TEST PRACTICE BUNDLE. The bundle includes 20 assessments that cover all 6th grade mathematics standards.
♥ Two Assessments -10-questions each- STAAR formatted
♥ A list of TEKS Standards
♥ A Testing Answer Key Blueprint which codes items by Readiness and Supporting Standards.
♥ A Student Answer Document/Bubble Sheet
Assessment questions are aligned with the NEW TEKS and formatted similar to STAAR. Processing and problems solving standards are embedded throughout assessments. The same font, type of graphics, and wording are used as much as possible to mirror STAAR.
READINESS STANDARDS INCLUDED:
√6.3(D) Add, subtract, multiply, and divide integers fluently.
√6.3(E) Multiply and divide positive rational numbers fluently.
SUPPORTING STANDARDS INCLUDED:
√6.3(A) Recognize that dividing by a rational number and multiplying by its reciprocal result in equivalent values.
√6.3(B) Determine, with and without computation, whether a quantity is increased or decreased when multiplied by a fraction, including values greater than or less than one.
√6.3(C) Represent integer operations with concrete models and connect the actions with the models to standardized algorithms.
RELATED COMMON CORE STANDARDS:
√6.NS.A.1 - Interpret and compute quotients of fractions, and solve word problems involving division of fractions by fractions, e.g., by using visual fraction models and equations to represent the problem.
√6.NS.C.5 - Understand that positive and negative numbers are used together to describe quantities having opposite directions or values (e.g., temperature above/below zero, elevation
above/below sea level, credits/debits, positive/negative electric charge); use positive and negative numbers to represent quantities in real-world contexts, explaining the meaning of 0
in each situation.
