Students draw numbers to create a data set. This allows you to use this over and over and not get the same data set twice!
Once they’ve created the data set, students calculate the mean, median, mode and range for the set. They are also asked to identify any outliers and how this affects the data set.
This can be differentiated by choosing the number of points in the set and making it lower or higher as needed.
Can be completed individually or in groups for stations.
