RECOMMENDATIONS FOR STUDENT USE…
-When the bell rings for school to begin, my students start the “Math Facts One-Minute Challenge”. As soon as they finish I require that they complete all math and sentence corrections before moving to the bottom activity (usually a creative writing activity) to ensure that they finish before time is up.
-Project workbook page on a white board and have students go up and correct the work. Correcting together sparks great conversations.
-Print and store extra copies of the Math Facts Pass-Off Sheets. If students do not meet the 90% requirement to achieve a badge, then they will need a new copy to try again. Adjust percentage requirement for student accommodations.
-Students typically need 15-20 minutes to complete each page
-Workbook pages do not need to be done in one sitting. Have the students complete the math section before math, the Language Arts before L.A., etc.
