This chart is a handy way for teachers to track when they teach each learning goal. Each learning goal is written as an "I Can" statement and is pulled directly from the Common Core standards and have been split into manageable "chunks" when necessary. I use this chart to guide my instruction, track how many times I have covered a concept, and to quickly see what still needs to be covered. I copy my learning goals from the chart directly onto the whiteboard before each lesson and create assessments using the learning goals as my guide. Learning goals are conveniently separated my strand (Reading Lit, Reading for Information, Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Langauge).
