This Mystery Prize Challenge activity is a fun review of solving equations, unit rates, fraction operations, decimals operations, evaluating algebraic expressions, and converting percents to a fraction/decimal. Students solve problems for a chance to win a mystery prize associated with each of the six problems!

Mystery Prize Challenge Activity
The basic idea of the activity is to post the six problems around the room. Next to each problem, also tape a filled mystery prize bag and a bucket or basket for students to place their answers. Students rotate around the room at their own pace, attempting to answer the problems on scrap pieces of paper. Once they answer a problem, they write their name on the paper and submit it into the basket that is at that problem. Once students have had a chance to complete each problem, the teacher draws answers out of each bucket until a correct answer is drawn. First correct answer wins the prize!
