Description

These half page micro quizzes are perfect for keeping track of the many concepts embedded within the sixth grade common core math standards. The standard is written as a kid friendly ‘I can’ statement on top of each quiz, and the corresponding CCLS is provided as well. They are perfect to use as Do Nows or Exit Tickets. With the checklist provided, students can keep track of which standards they have met, almost met, or not yet met. You many choose to keep a portfolio for each student with the checklists attached, and update it yourself or have students maintain their own records (which meets Danielson 4b :) ).

This Number System Unit includes…
-17 micro quizzes that contain 1 – 3 problems each. Since each quiz is half of a page, you will find 2 quizzes per page.
-A checklist that corresponds to each ‘I can’ statement for maintaining records or porfolios

Interpret and compute quotients of fractions, and solve word problems involving division of fractions by fractions, e.g., by using visual fraction models and equations to represent the problem. For example, create a story context for (2/3) ÷ (3/4) and use a visual fraction model to show the quotient; use the relationship between multiplication and division to explain that (2/3) ÷ (3/4) = 8/9 because 3/4 of 8/9 is 2/3.
