I've compiled some basic math skills that 6th graders should know as they enter 7th grade. Some problems are word problems and some are trivia questions. This is a great way to engage students at the beginning of the year. They are being exposed to QR Reader Apps, working together (ice breaker), and reviewing last year's math content in the first few days of school. Students should be told ahead of time to download the QR app and I group them according to students who have phones or ipads. I also created a "sample" QR code to make sure all the phones were working appropriately. This allowed me to address any technology issues before students got started (saved time).
This content could possibly be used for a higher group of 6th grade students (coming in from 5th) or Intervention for 7th/8th grade students (those who may be lower performing).
The size of the QR Code Posters is 1/2 page situated in a 9-page document. The problem document is two pages, easy for front/back copying. This product, both posters and problems sheets, were created in Word. However, I saved them as PDFs to ensure fonts transferring correctly. The preview page shows a sample of the posters and sample problems on the worksheet.
