6th Grade Math STAAR Review made easy. This set of activities will help your students review rational number operations--multiplying and dividing fractions and integer operations and help you have a low-prep way of organizing your STAAR Review.
These activities are made to cover 2 days of reviewing students on rational number operations. A sample daily schedule is included for how to implement these activities. Teacher instructions for how to use each activity are also included.
Activities Included:
--Warm ups
--3 small group activities
--2 pages of mini assessments
In the small group activities, students will identify if word problems will use multiplication or division to solve, and practice rational number operations computations.
Sample Class:
1. Start the warmup with your class. These are designed to get your students to talk about the math.
2. Pull students into small group based on who needs to review the topic. You will spent 10-12 minutes with each group doing the small group activity.
3. At the end of class, give all students the mini assessment and review the answers with the class. These are 4 questions.
You could also use the activities with the whole class if pulling small groups is not an option.
