**STAAR Pre-Post Assessments/STAAR Test Prep** This document contains two assessments over Tables, Graphs, and Equations for 6th grade math. These assessments could be used as a Pre-Post Assessment, Unit Quizzes, Review, and STAAR Test Practice!
*This resource is also available in my STAAR TEST PRACTICE BUNDLE. The bundle includes 20 assessments covering all of the 6th grade math standards.
It is difficult to find resources that fit our Texas Standards and meet the level of rigor required by STAAR. These questions are aligned with the NEW TEKS and are formatted similar to STAAR. The same font, type of wording, and graphics are used as much as possible to mirror the STAAR. Processing standards are embedded throughout assessments.
♥ Two Assessments -10-questions each- STAAR formatted
♥ A list of TEKS Standards
♥ A Testing Answer Key Blueprint which codes items by Readiness and Supporting Standards.
♥ A Student Answer Document/Bubble Sheet
READINESS STANDARDS INCLUDED:
√6.6C - represent a given situation using verbal descriptions, tables, graphs, and equations in the form y= kx or y = x + b
SUPPORTING STANDARDS INCLUDED:
√6.6(A) - identify independent and dependent quantities from tables and graphs
√6.6(B) - write an equation that represents the relationship between independent and dependent quantities from a table
√6.4(A) - compare two rules verbally, numerically, graphically, and symbolically in the form of
y = ax or y = x + a in order to differentiate between additive and multiplicative relationships
RELATED COMMON CORE STANDARDS:
√6.EE.C.9 - Use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another; write an equation to express one quantity, thought of as the dependent variable, in terms of the other quantity, thought of as the independent variable.
Analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables, and relate these to the equation.
√6.EE.B.6 - Use variables to represent numbers and write expressions when solving a real-world or mathematical problem; understand that a variable can represent an unknown number, or, depending on the purpose at hand, any number in a specified set.
√6.EE.B.7 - Solve real-world and mathematical problems by writing and solving equations of the form x + p = q and px = q for cases in which p, q and x are all nonnegative rational numbers.
√6.EE.A.2 - Write, read, and evaluate expressions in which letters stand for numbers.
√6.EE.A.2A - Write expressions that record operations with numbers and with letters standing for numbers. For example, express the calculation “Subtract y from 5” as 5 – y.
