This is a wonderful 6th Grade Common Core Number System Objectives Bulletin Board and Journal Set. Included you will find several different versions for your math journals depending on your needs and desires. I have included a one page portrait version that has all of the items included labeled as “The Number System.” However, I prefer to teach this as two units, so I have also split it into “Operations with Fractions and Decimals” as well as “Rational Numbers and the Coordinate Plane.” I have then created a half page version of each that will copy two to a page as I prefer that size for my math journals. I have then included a full size poster for each of the objectives and a cover page as well. There are several different versions of some objectives as they can be split apart into separate lessons or combined into one depending on how fast or slow your class moves. There is sure to be something for everyone. Be sure to look at the rest of the math objectives and journals in my store!

I can use the traditional algorithm to solve a long division problem with a multi-digit divisor.
I can use the traditional algorithms to multiply, divide, add, and subtract decimals.

I can locate and graph positive and negative numbers on a number line.
I can compare and order positive and negative numbers using greater than and less than symbols.
I can define and solve problems involving opposites and absolute value.
I can graph in all four quadrants of the coordinate plane.
I can find the distance between two points on a coordinate plane.
I can identify the effect on coordinates for reflections in the coordinate plane.
