Product Description
This bundle is ideal for a 6th grade social studies teacher. I bundled together my favorite ancient civilizations lessons so you can have many lessons to use throughout the year! Excite your students about history with these projects and lessons, and save yourself tons of time! Here is more information about the four lessons included:

Mesopotamian Packet
This printable packet has a focus on geography, the importance of agriculture, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, polytheism, cuneiform, and division of labor. In addition to answering key questions, students draw both a map and a scene from this civilization. They also get to research a god or goddess!

Egyptian Lesson
This lesson focuses on reading comprehension, content vocabulary, answering inferential questions, and more! Students will read about important ideas in ancient Egypt such as the Rosetta Stone (which allowed hieroglyphics to be deciphered), the Nile River, pharaohs, mummification, and the afterlife. This lesson includes reading a passage, answering comprehension and inferential questions, opinion writing, drawing illustrations, and researching a pharaoh.

Nile River Lesson
This lesson has both a geography and research component. Students create a Nile River map and illustration in a cooperative group. They include key locations on the map such as the Valley of the Kings, Giza, and Nubia. Additionally, they label and illustrate papyrus, boats, pyramids, cataracts, etc. Lastly, students each get to study a Nile River animal to research. This information is included on the illustrated map.

China and the Silk Road Journal Writing
Students will find out how goods, religions, and ideas were traded along the Silk Road. They will journal from the 1st person point of view, pretending to be a traveler along the route. The journals will also include hardships encountered along the Silk Road. There is creativity allowed with this assignment, so students really enjoy it!

*Please Note: Students are encouraged to use the Internet to help them research for some of the lessons. Please do not purchase this if your students don’t have Internet access. Also, this bundle has been numbered starting from page 1 for each of the lessons to make it user friendly. Enjoy!

*Please do not duplicate your purchase by also buying these lessons (which I sell individually).
