Riddles are a great way to make a boring assignment fun.

However, I found students knew the answer to the riddle and just chose the answers to fill in the letters without doing any of the math. This way, students have to create the riddle before they can answer it.

This bundle contains mathematical and word problems that are aligned with the 6th Grade Common Core Standards.

Here is what is included in the Bundle

β€’ Volume of Rectangular Prisms with Decimal Sides Create the Riddle Activity
β€’ Volume of Rectangular Prisms with Fractional Sides Create the Riddle Activity
β€’ Volume of Rectangular Prisms with Whole Number Sides Create the Riddle Activity
β€’ Volume of Rectangular Prisms Word Problems Create the Riddle Activity
β€’ Volume of Rectangular Prisms Packing Unit Cubes Create the Riddle Activity

Find the volume of a right rectangular prism with fractional edge lengths by packing it with unit cubes of the appropriate unit fraction edge lengths, and show that the volume is the same as would be found by multiplying the edge lengths of the prism. Apply the formulas 𝘝 = 𝘭 𝘸 𝘩 and 𝘝 = 𝘣 𝘩 to find volumes of right rectangular prisms with fractional edge lengths in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
