This resource includes 28 one-sided spiraled “weekly homework” pages. They can be sent home for homework, or used for practice in the classroom.
*110 original word problems/ test like questions
*Reviews benchmark fraction, decimal, and percent equivalencies each week!
The first six homework pages include problems that review skills that the students learned in 5th grade and will be built on in 6th grade. Homework pages 2-6 also include new skills that are taught typically at the beginning of the 6th grade year.
Each homework page includes 5 questions. (4 pages only have 4 due to the nature of some types of questions not saving enough room for 5.) The first 2 pages are just word problems. Beginning with page three, the homework pages include 4 word problems (or assessment-like problems), and number 5 on each page includes 6 fractions and requires the students to write the equivalent decimal and percent. The fractions include denominators of 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10. My hope in including this on every page is that the students will memorize the benchmark fraction equivalencies. Beginning with page 14, the last two fractions will require the students to use a scale factor. Some require the students to simplify and then use a scale factor. Some fractions are greater than one whole and will be over 100%.
The types of questions range as well as the skills covered. Some questions include tables, graphs, or plots. Some questions are multiple choice, but most are open ended.
There is a key included at the very end of the resource.
