One of the most powerful things about Covey’s 7 Habits is that even young students can recognize and apply them in their own lives. This resource helps students set a goal, track its use, and reflect in one month. This resource was created for a third grade classroom but could be used by 2nd-5th graders by giving more or less support.
Students use the graphic organizer to choose and brainstorm about their current understanding and use of a particular habit. They then target an action that exemplifies the habit and write a goal statement. The graphs allow students to track their use of the habit throughout the month. The reflection sheet guides students to consider if they met their goal, strengths and weaknesses, and finishes with a writing activity.
Compacted into just two front-and-back pages, this resource is easy to use and understand. Perfect for data or leadership notebooks. Easily adaptable for younger and older students.
