Allow some of our most beloved literature characters help teach your students about the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. In this project, students read or listen to an oral reading of pieces of literature in which the characters in the story display at least one of the 7 Habits. As they discover characters with good good character, they complete the Habit pages and assemble the book. It is a great way to incorporate Character Education into what your are already doing and the children can relate to some of their favorite storybook characters. It can be done by individuals, small groups, whole class, reading buddies, or however works best for your students. It is definitely a Win-Win situation (Habit 4).
