This is Bloom's Taxonomy in a descriptive format for middle school students and the teachers that need them. These 7 charts can be used in every subject for your differentiated instruction, workstations and teacher directed instruction. I printed, glued to heavy card stock and then laminated them and they have lasted for four years. I place them on my chalk/marker ledge and refer to them all the time.
During a lesson I will ask a simple recall question, hold up the sign, explain that this should solicit an automatic response. During a math lesson I write a 5 step math problem on the board and I don't explain it. I announce to the students, "This is a synthesis question. Using your synthesis skills, how did I arrive at the correct solution?"
