Writing Prompts by R Grant
Writing prompts can be used as “Quick Writes” to warm up the class or as homework assignments. All responses must be in complete sentences with the focus on writing strong opening sentences, use of vivid details and facts. Usually one to two paragraphs for “Quick Writes”. I found this format as an invaluable tool to get kids settled down when they first enter the class and get their brains focused on learning and critical thinking.
# 1 Write about how you see the world.
Is it a great place?
Is it a bad place?
What would you change and specifically how would you do it?
#2: The Best Day I Ever Spent With My Family
