Product Description
This 12-page worksheet focuses on boosting vocabulary from 7th grade and beyond while reinforcing and identifying the use of homonyms, homophones, adjectives, nouns and verbs. Students identify the difference in spelling, meaning and part of speech between the words "elicit" and "illict" for example, or in another section explain who may be described as a "delegate" or an "arbiter;" they are prompted to write sentences using the two different meanings of the word stable and to use a phrase like "ineffable sorrow" to write a brief paragraph. The worksheet is designed for language arts segments of class, homework assignments, and SAT prep. It uses a combination of writing prompts, true/false questions, identifying parts of speech and using words in context to reinforce the mastery of challenging vocabulary/spelling words.
