Performance Tasks are a key component of end-of-year testing. These types of tasks allow students to demonstrate their content knowledge and higher order thinking skills.
The Party Planner Performance Task is divided into three parts.
A couple is celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary with a big party with their friends and family. As the event coordinator, you are responsible for all aspects of planning.
The first part requires students to determine the number of tables needed based on the number of guests. In the second part, students will create a proportional equation and calculate the cost of food. In the third part, students will determine which DJ is the better deal.
