This activity packet includes:
1. Vocabulary Boxes - They ask students to fill in the part of speech, fill in a blank key word from the book definition, and draw a picture to help them remember what each word means.
2. Vocab Mix & Match Strips - Students cut up the strips, mix them on their desk, and try to match the word to its definition(s). Once the page is printed, you will need to write the number(s) on the back of each definition and word card. For example, the word "commission" will get a number one as well as it's two definition card. When students flip the matches over, they know they are correct if the cards have the same numbers on the back.
3. Vocab Review Sheet - Students fold the page in half (long/skinny/hotdog style). They try to fill in the first column using the word bank at the bottom. I like to time them and see what they know within the few minutes I give them. Then they flip over the paper and try the second column of definitions.
4. Vocab Word Search - I use the word search as a HW review puzzle before they take their test.
