The following activities is to develop self-awareness and self-concept through a series of activities.
Activity 1: Create Your Mandala Page 2
We start out with a calming activity that touches upon the sense of self. The mandala has been used for centuries to signify wholeness of a person.

Activity 3: Mandala Questions Page 8
Use the Mandala Questions to spark a conversation that touches upon their thoughts and feelings before, during, and after creating their mandala.
Activity 4: Mandalas in Nature Matching Game Page 9
Mandala-like objects are found throughout nature. This activity will help them to be aware of parts and wholes of mandalas found in nature.
Activity 5: Mandalas in our Community Page 10
Mandalas are found in our environment such as in beaches, in the street, or our homes. This activity will focus on identifying mandala-like objects in their community.
Activity 6: Mandala in your Eye Page 11
This activity now draws children in finding a mandala in their body, specifically the eye. Here we now have children looking at themselves.
Activity 7: Self-Portrait Page 12
In this activity, we expand the awareness of the self to include the whole face by drawing a self-portrait.
Activity 8: My Thoughts and Feelings Page 13
After looking at the physical self, this activity focuses on exploring the inner self through their thoughts and feelings. The proceeding projects after this module will delve deeper into self-awareness, self-understanding, and building self-esteem. These series of projects will ultimately build a child’s confidence and resilience.
