This bundle includes everything you need to give students an enriching cultural experience when teaching the mini-novel Viva el Toro. No Google searching or thinking up questions or homework, it is all here.
There are 8 chapter packets. Each packet has a list for students to write down vocabulary from the book, draw symbols, and define new/difficult words. For the first 2 chapters the vocabulary is supplied. The rest of the chapters, students choose their own words to define.
In the 8 packets there are boxes for students to take notes on culture. There is a grammar section where students write down examples of whatever grammar aspect is prevalent in that chapter (the preterit, imperfect, auxiliary verbs, direct/indirect object pronouns). There are critical thinking, T/F, and personal thought questions students can relate to in terms of their own experiences/way of life vs. Spain.
In the 8 Power Points, which correspond to each chapter, there are dozens of cultural pictures of people, places, things, and events mentioned in each chapter of the text. There are video and page links. So, as you read, the visuals are there for you to show your students. It creates a true cultural experience for them.
The Final Activity is an outline and rubric for students to write an additional chapter to the book...their own ending.
With these packets and Power Points, student comprehension and interest will soar!
