When my students began using fractions in a single variable equation, they completely forgot how to manage mixed numbers and improper fractions. I created this product to give my students an opportunity to practice in a non-worksheet setting.
There are 88 cards included, so 44 matches. Each pair has the number written in mixed number form and improper fraction form. The cards can be used to play a game of Go Fish, memory, Scoot, or even as task cards placed around the room. You could have a competition among groups to see who can move between the two forms the fastest!
The last 8 cards are intended to be a challenge. These are for my kids who ask for subtraction problems with 7 or 8 digit numbers. :) They are marked "BONUS" so you can easily remove them.
There are student answer sheets included so students can record their work in an organized way that makes is super easy for you to check!
As always, an answer key is included, and the cards are packed with bright color. You will find a variety of uses for these cards: review, extra practice, reinforcing ideas, reteaching, interventions, games, small group work, whole class work, centers, and much more! I'd love to hear how you use these in your own classroom!
