Aligned carefully to common core standard 8.EE.7, students create a poster in which they sort equations according to how many solutions they have (one solution, infinitely many solutions, or no solution). Students receive different equations based on their ability levels and structure is built in for teammates to assist one another. The difficulty of the equations reaches the level that 8th grade students are expected to be performing at, with some equations involving fractions and decimals. The finished product is great for hanging on a class bulletin board!
