This student centered PowerPoint allows students to take control of their learning. It gives them a chance to review positive exponents, negative exponents, multiplying exponents, and dividing exponents with brief instruction slides followed by practice slides for each topic. Certain parts or steps are color coded and/or move to make the math more visual and accessible to all learners. After the review there are 2 practice activities where students arrange a set of expressions into a given number of groups of equivalent expressions. This PowerPoint can be used in stations with Part 3 (for sale in my store) which is a hands on version of the activity at the end of the PowerPoint where students place exponent expressions into 4 groups of equivalent exponent expressions. This PowerPoint (part 2) is ideal for pair, group, or independent work and can also be used by students who were absent as they catch up. Students are prompted to write down their work before clicking again to reveal answers. They are also prompted to go back in the PowerPoint to review if they have made any mistakes.
