Finally! Specific, individual standard, targeted Common Core or LAFS Reading: Informational Text questions. Help your students practice individual 8th grade RI standards with this NO PREP resource that uses the "model-guide-practice" research-based teaching strategy! Each CIM includes suggestions for differentiation, collaborative learning, extension, and a table of contents linked to corresponding pages within the documents.
Because of the way the state of Florida adapted their standards from the CCSS, these lessons ARE appropriate for the standards LAFS.8.RI.1.1, LAFS.8.RI.1.2, and LAFS.8.RI.1.3.
Included in this bundle are the individual CIMs for RI.8.1, RI.8.2, and RI.8.3.
The preview includes the preview for all 3 CIMs as well.
The lessons follow an "I do, "We do," "You do" model of instruction. Each lesson has at least 1 question for the given standard. The lessons contain a teacher script for the "I do" and "We do" lessons to help walk students through the cognitive process of determining the correct answer.
The questions can be used as multiple choice or short/extended response questions.
The texts used are all appropriate for 8th-grade students according to Lexile's Grade Bands.
