A Step by step Hands-On Activity
Your students will use the given circle to discover for themselves relationships between angles and arcs. Eight circle vocabulary words are given and used. In addition 8 circle theorems are given and students match these theorems with their own findings. It's a fun way to discover circle relationships.
C.A.2 (except circumscribed angles and angles inscribed on diameter)
C.B.5 (except wording regarding constant of proportionality and deriving the formula for area of a sector) These subjects are covered just not with the same wording.
TEKS G.12A, G.12B, G.12C, G.12D (except no wording of “radian measure of an angle is the ratio of the length of an arc intercepted by a central angle and the radius of the circle”(5))
