Bundle Description

Save $$$$ and time with this UNIT BUNDLE! This Unit bundles students expectations that address one-variable equations situations, total cost of repaying a loan, slope and y-intercept in proportional and non-proportional situations, direct variation, function representations, scatterplots, transformational geometry, and the Pythagorean theorem. It goes main standards covered throughout the school year so its a good end of year review activities packet and can be used to test prep.

These are the individual resources included in this bundle:

1. Solving Equations worksheet (one-variable, on both sides of =) 8.8C ($1.99) This worksheet consists of 10 Solving Equation problems with variables on both sides of the equal sign, perfect for Middle School and Algebra I students. It contains one sample problem that students can use as guide, 7 equations ready to solve, and 3 word problems where students have to model an equation and solve it.

2. Solving One-variable Equations with Variables on Both Sides using MODELS! 8.8C ($2.99) Students use Concrete and Pictorial models to solve equations!

3. Solving Equations STATIONS (one-variable, both sides of =) 8.8C ($1.99) This activity consists of 10 Solving Equation problems with variables on both sides of the equal sign, perfect for Middle School and Algebra I students. It contains 8 stations with equations ready to solve, and 2 word problem stations where students have to model an equation and solve it.

4. Types of Solutions of Equations w/ Variables on Both Sides = JUNGLE MAZE! 8.8C ($2.99) Student directions: Escape the jungle. Make it home safe. Solve equations along the way and determine if they have one solution, no solution, or infinite solutions to reveal the right path. If an answer takes you to a wild animal, you made a wrong turn earlier on! Show your solutions on the table.

5. Understanding & Calculating Slope & Y-intercept 8.4C ($2.00) This worksheet consists of 4 word problems represented by a table or graph, where students must find the slope (rate of change) and the y-intercept (starting point).

6. Rate of Change (Slope) & Starting Point (Y-intercept) from Tables & Graphs 8.4C ($1.99) STATIONS & LIB! in this activity students will go to each station and determine the rate of change (slope) and starting point (y-intercept) from each table or graph. All problems are multiple choice and each answer comes with a word or phrase that completes the lib located in the student worksheet provided.

7. Finding the Unit Rate & Graphing Proportional Relationships 8.4B (FREE) Students must calculate the unit rate and create a graph that represents the proportional relationship of 3 different problems (verbal, tabular and numeric description). Excellent for state assessment prep!

8. Calculating Constant of Proportionality from Tables 8.4B ($2.99) Students will calculate the constant of proportionality k (unit rate or slope) from 8 different tables of values representing different situations. Once k has been found, students must write the equations that represents the situation in the form y = kx. One example included.

9. Graphing and Comparing the Unit Rate from Proportional Relationships 8.4B ($1.99) This worksheet of 5 real world word problems consist of 3 problems where students will compare the unit rate (slope) of two different proportional relationships represented in different ways: table of values, graph, or algebraic expression; and 2 problems where students will graph the two proportional relationships and write an equation that represents the relation.

10. Identifying Functions (ordered pairs, mappings, tables & graphs) 8.5G ($1.99) Students will identify functions using sets of ordered pairs, tables, mappings and graphs, and justify their answer. 8 problems total.

11. Identifying Functions (ordered pairs, tables, mappings, graphs) TASK CARDS 8.5G ($2.99) In this activity, students must go over all task cards (18) and identify the functions. In the studentworksheet provided, students must circle yes or no under “is it a function?”, and if not, explain why not.

12. Scatter Plots & Patterns of Association 8.11A ($1.99) Students must construct and interpret scatter plots from 8 different data tables and investigate patterns of association such as clustering, outliers, positive or negative correlation, linear or nonlinear association. Data tables are based on real world problems, students must plot the data points to construct the scatter plots.

13. Making Predictions from Scatter Plots using Trend Lines - SCAVENGER HUNT 8.5D ($3.00) Print the 10 problems and scatter them around the room .Give one student worksheet to each student, place them in groups of 2 or 3 and assign a problem to each group. Students must make predictions for each problem using trend lines, record their calculations individually on their worksheet. Each answer will lead them to the next problem by looking at the “previous answer” section on each problem. If they can’t find the next problem then their answer is wrong. Students will continue until they have looped through all 10 problems.

14. Transformations: Dilation on a Coordinate Plane (Algebraic representation) 8.3B ($1.99) Students must find the scale factor and write an algebraic rule that explains the effect of the dilation on the figure. Excellent for state assessment practice!

15. Transformations: Translations, Reflections and Rotations (Algebraic Rep) 8.10C ($1.99) Students use Concrete and Pictorial models to solve equations!

16. The Pythagorean theorem and its Converse 8.7C ($1.99) students must apply the Pythagorean theorem and its converse to find the missing side measurements of different triangles and to verify if sets of given side lengths form a right triangle.

17. Pythagorean theorem: Distance Between Two Points on a Coordinate Plane 8.7D ($1.99) Students will determine the distance between two points on a coordinate plane using the Pythagorean theorem.

18. Financial Lit: Total Cost of Repaying Loans (Simple&Compound interest) 8.12A-D ($3.00) Get your students to move around and solve real-world financial problems with this stations activity! Place the 8 stations around the room and let students go to each station and solve the real-word problems using the simple and compound formulas. Problems involve calculating the interest, rate, total cost, principal, time, and compare different loan options. All problems are multiple choice and each answer comes with a word or phrase that completes the lib located in the student worksheet provided. Students can work individually or in groups. I've found that students end up working together at the stations even if it's an individual activity, they always help each other!
