Product Description
This project gets students used to using a variety of materials in their artwork, instead of just one media for an entire project. It also gives students a chance to work with their own face as an art project. Most students really enjoyed this and found it challenging. But, it was very important that they new how to stipple and how to shade before we entered into this project.
The images that are printed from the Paint.net program are in black and white, so the color choices were totally up to the students. They could pick wild crazy colors or use more realistic colors.
I was really pleased with the results of this project and I repeated it every nine years while I taught in middle school. It was fun to see students in the hallway talking about the artwork and how much they thought a drawing looked like the person.
