Are you using Open Up Resources 8th Grade Units from Illustrative Mathematics? Here is a set of questions you can use for summative practice for unit 7. I used the content of the unit and matched it to Smarter Balanced Item Specs (SBAC). This will help you formatively assess and see who needs more help. Based on released items these items work very well in preparations for the PARCC test and most state end of year tests.
You will get great data and information about which of your students need more help working with exponents and scientific notation. There are 31 questions completely covering the content of the unit and bridging to summative assessments. I have created the problems, images, and graphs saving you lots of time. I have grouped the skills, so you can just print the part you want to assess. These are formatted for easy and quick scoring. Print and Go! The answer key is included.
The download folder has three files: Word Document, PDF, and a PDF with a Google link.
The Word Document is completely editable, if your computer has Microsoft Word. You may make necessary changes to teach your precious children. Feel free to make the test longer or shorter.
The PDF file, is not editable, but will open nicely on most machines.
The third file in the download is a PDF that will link you to an editable Google Doc. (This is very new to me, if you have any trouble either email me firstname.lastname@example.org or ask a question on this product.)
