This is an Editable Pre/Post Test for 8th Grade Common Core State Standards for Statistics and Probability: 8.SP.1, 8.SP.2, 8.SP.3, and 8.SP.4. You can give this assessment at the beginning of the unit (pre-test), and again at the end of the unit (post-test). This test could also be used as an end of the year review or test prep!
- I can construct and interpret scatter plots.
- I can show how straight lines are used to model relationships between two variables. I can solve problems using the equation of a linear model.
- I can find the relative frequency from a frequency table.
- I can create and explain a two-way table.
This test is 18-20 questions long (3 pages), with answer key included. File also includes the editable word document. There are two versions of this test. One version requires students to use point-slope form to create a line of best fit (use this for an advanced class) and the other includes a slightly easier version of the test for a regular 8th grade math class.
