This is a smartboard notebook file that I used as a map reading, analyzing, and interpenetrating unit. I used one map each week as a bell ringer activity to get kids reading and analyzing maps. Each slide has a map on it and 3 questions. The first question is a specific question asking students to read the map to generate information. The second question always asks what the map shows, and the third question always asks what students can infer from the map.
The final two slides are content specific essay questions dealing with the American Revolution, and the ancient Roman Republic/direct vs indirect democracies. Feel free to delete these slides they just happened to be thrown in with the map unit and I didn't want to delete them.
