Before the 9/11 memorial was built, there were 8 designs that could potentially have been chosen. This lesson is built around the students looking at the different finalists and choosing which one they like best. They then go on the website (listed below) and research the memorial that they like the best. It is a great activity to get students thinking about why we build memorials and what goes into a strong one.
