Jigsaw activities are not new. They have been used in the past to help students build critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills. However, if you throw Google Drive into the mix, your students can also build their technological skills as well.
This product explains a procedure for a high school English class, but it is one that could be used in any subject area. Students will be assigned reading to do for homework, then, back in class they will work in "home groups" to discuss their notes. Later, they will more to "expert groups" to have a more focused discussion on Google Drive. Graphic organizers are included for students.
You can find this activity in Speaking and Listening Activites, Strategies & Assessment
