Brad wrote a story of a balloon who is dealing with an existential crisis. We hope it helps invite you to live with awe and gratitude. Students will participate in discussions and activities to help them cope with their own insecurities and fears. They will see that, like the red balloon, they are meant to fly!
This lesson plan was created to accompany our video "A Balloon's Story," which is available to stream at no charge on YouTube
and the Montague Workshop Facebook page
Brad Montague is a writer, director, and father who believes if kids and grown-ups work together, they can change the world. He is the creator of Kid President—the popular web series featured on SoulPancake’s YouTube channel—which he developed after being inspired by the young world changers at an annual summer program he and his wife, Kristi, founded. The two of them, together, make up Montague Workshop, working to cultivate empathy and imagination in kids and former kids through the power of stories.
These resources were created in collaboration with the iTeach
