I made this booklet for my own students to use to create “gifts” for their classmates on their birthdays. Each students in my class will be given one of the coupons to celebrate a classmate’s birthday. Each student will write the birthday student’s name on the top of the coupon, the service that he or she is willing to give (a smile, a high five, reading a book together, practicing how to swing or cross the monkey bars at recess, learning how to whistle, snap, tie a shoe, etc.)…and then each student will sign his or her name on the bottom of the coupon. Once all coupons are finished, I will place them together and staple them on the left side. You can choose to make it fancier by creating a hole punch and use curly ribbon to combine the coupons, or you could us a key ring. This booklet can also be used by your students to create coupons for their family members’ birthdays.
At the end choose whether to use the last rectangle as a plural “we” or as a singular “I” depending on whether the booklet is created by your entire class or just by one student. If you’d like to add some color, simply print them onto colored paper. Use a marker and write the Birthday Student’s name on the cover directly under “Happy Birthday”.
Please view the small windows above to see exactly what you will receive. The only addition is the rest of the coupons.
