Are you reading a story about a brown bear or learning about hibernating animals? I made a single, printable sheet to help students practice color words while using M&Ms. I like to use this at the beginning of the year in August or September when we are learning about colors.
My students love using food items for learning, but I don't love lots of sugar. On the rare occasion when we do use food items in the class, we reuse the same candies over and over (these are our shared,"germy" candies). At the end of the center, my students are given just 1 clean candy from the bag. This has worked wonders in my class....they're happy, and I'm happy.
Students will place the correct color M&M on each circle, color each circle the correct color, and color the bear brown. I have included color circles so that they can be used as a reference during the activity.
Please view the small viewing windows to the right as the entire download can be seen there (the only addition is one more page with the blue and green circles).
