I use this assessment after reading the story for the week. On Monday, the vocabulary is introduced and an anchor chart is created with words and definitions. We reread the story each day and locate vocabulary words within the story. In addition, a different reading activity occurs each day and an anchor chart is created. (Cause & Effect, Fact & Opinion, Sequencing, etc.) At the end of the week, I read the test to the students as they select answers independently.
