Who says following directions can't be fun? This game will encourage your little ones to follow multi-step directions, while increasing their vocabulary and visual attention! The object of the game: be the first to build your campfire!
This game can be adapted for all different levels of learners:
-easiest: use the visual pictures on the bottom of the cards to help your child follow the 3-step directions
-moderate: cover up the visual pictures and allow your child to read the 3-step directions
-hardest: read the card aloud, but don't let your child peek at the card
This game would be great as a file folder activity, in a 3 ring binder with page protectors, OR laminated!
You will need to provide:
Making the game:
1.Print all pages
2.Cut and laminate playing cards, logs, and fire
3. For the board: laminate the pages, place in 3 ring binder page protectors, OR glue to the inside of a file folder
Playing the game:
Pick a card & follow the directions! If you follow the directions correctly, you can roll the dice & move that many spots! If you get the directions wrong, that’s okay but you’ll have to wait until it’s your turn again. If you land on a stump, collect one log from the pile! The first player to get 10 logs can build their campfire and wins the game!
