The classic novel, A Christmas Carol, gives ample opportunity for teachers to expand student knowledge. While reading students will engage with the characters and be asked to step into their shoes, while also trying to decide, based on text evidence, if money does or does not buy happiness, which is the culminating activity of the unit plan.
Activities include a vocab chart and quiz, box of treasures (student samples are in the preview for this), notes, annotations, character analysis, essay outline, interactive group project via Google slides or similar, and a written test. Viewing any of the films also increases knowledge base with the expansion of multi-media within the unit. There is also a power point of the vocab definitions available to you with purchase. Please message me for that after purchasing for those documents.
