It's fruitcake weather and I have whipped up a batch of activities to go with the wonderful story! There are reading questions, tier 2 vocabulary, a crossword and PPTs. I have also added a fruitcake recipe from 1921 with questions designed to give students practice with reading an informational/technical passage.
I have included a link to the Google version of the reading questions for those who like going paperless. I have included a Getting Started with Google Apps/Google Classroom guide for those wanting to try it, but still have the print version to fall back on. This is a great way to show use of technology in your classroom. If you aren't interesting in using Google, no worries, everything is printable!
